The course is called Partnering with Schools for Student Success, and promotes a collaborative approach to advocacy, based on knowledge and understanding on both sides.
This training program is designed for volunteers and staff at LDAO chapters who are involved with providing information about resources and services in their communities and the processes needed to access those resources and services.
This training workshop was adapted from materials provided by the Accessibility Directorate of Ontario, for the purpose of training LDA chapters staff and volunteers in accessible customer service. Ontario’s accessible customer service standard is now the law and applies to all people or organizations, public, private and nonprofit, that provide goods or services either directly to the public or to other businesses or organizations, and have one or more employees in Ontario.
